Intermodal Europe's new look already proving to be a big hit
Preparations for this year´s Intermodal Europe event are in full swing, with the final touches being applied to the high quality free-to-attend conference sessions and more than 75 percent of exhibition floor space already sold. A wide range of leading companies operating in the intermodal sector, including Carrier Transicold, Daikin Industries, Florens Container Services, Interporto Campano, Johnson Controls, Maersk Container Industries, Port of Amsterdam, Port of Strasbourg, Valspar, TAL International Container Corporation and Thermo King, will be displaying their latest innovations at Intermodal Europe 2010, which opens its doors from 30 November - 2 December at the RAI Amsterdam, The Netherlands.
Leading suppliers from across the globe will be showcasing their latest innovations at Intermodal Europe 2010. The exhibition floor is the perfect place for businesses operating in the road, rail and maritime sectors to source equipment, systems, technology and services.
This year´s Intermodal Europe is proving to be extremely popular amongst a number of the leading intermodal suppliers. Robert Svensson of Johnson Controls has already booked his space at the exhibition, he commented: "We are looking forward to this year´s event as there will be a great combination of exhibitors ranging from container manufacturers to end customers. It is a great place to find new technologies and meet with colleagues in the industry."
Kevin Singh of Fort Vale is another exhibitor that has signed up for the show, he added: "As the market leader, we always strive to introduce new products or updates with improved technical features and cost saving benefits. Intermodal Europe will allow us to demonstrate our innovative products and support our existing clients. It also gives us a great opportunity to meet new contacts."
Kartik Kumar at Carrier Global Container Refrigeration went on to say: "As the leader in the container refrigeration industry, every year Intermodal Europe provides us with an excellent opportunity to engage many of our shipping and leasing customers and suppliers. We look forward to participating at the 2010 show."
"We have chosen to exhibit at Intermodal Europe because it is a great venue to meet many of the customers and suppliers within the industry all under one roof," added Mads Bjørn Eriksen Maersk Container Industry AS.
Valspar will be showcasing its innovative corrosion protection technology at Intemodal Europe, Paul McCrory said: "Valspar has applied its waterborne expertise to development of Aquaguard™, an innovative zinc-free, low-emission waterborne coating for the container industry that we will be showcasing at Intermodal Europe. It outperforms current corrosion protection technologies at a competitive cost, and we are focused on educating the industry about this game-changing technology and driving adoption, which is a critical component in helping lower the carbon footprint of containers. Intermodal Europe is a great place for us to do just that."
This year´s event will feature companies operating in a wider range of sectors than ever before. Visitors to the exhibition will find container leasers, container manufacturers, container terminal operators, freight forwarders, inland waterway operators, rail freight terminals, shipping lines, ports, logistics companies, IT software and systems and short sea operations.
Visitors to this year´s show will also be able to attend a complete and comprehensive series of high-level conference sessions on the exhibition floor which will be devoted to specific issues within intermodalism. The sessions, which visitors can attend free of charge, will focus on helping businesses recover from the economic downturn and plan for the decade ahead. During the three day event, industry professionals will be able to hear from a number of leading experts on the issues that matter most to the intermodal industry.
Phil Hunter, Intermodal Europe 2010 Event Director, said: "It is hugely important for businesses operating in the intermodal industry to stay up-to-date with market conditions and have access to accurate data to be able to plan for the future. This is evident with the recent news that as trade between Asia and Europe picks up, there are now allegedly not enough containers available to carry the increased amount of goods across the globe. Even the largest carriers were caught out and failed to order more boxes in anticipatation of the rise in trade volumes - this will undoubtedly hinder the route to recovery. The brand new free-to-attend conference sessions that we have introduced to this year´s Intermodal Europe will offer visitors up-to-date market information and advice on how to deal with issues just like this as well as improve productivity and maximise efficiency."
Executives attending Intermodal Europe will also be able to take advantage of the various networking opportunities that the event will provide, including a dedicated Networking Bar and Evening Receptions. This will allow visitors, exhibitors and speakers extra time to network and meet potential new business partners.
What´s more, Intermodal Europe 2010 will host the European Intermodal Association´s 10th annual awards ceremony which reward innovative intermodal transport solutions and recognise best practice in intermodal transport and freight logistics.
